This post follows a request to the Tango mailing list, about creating icons for the Open-Audit application. Various icons for network equipments are needed. |
The list of icons for this kind of applications is pretty large, ranging from port switches, print server, firewall, SAN to blade servers. So, I drew a couple of icons and sent them to the mailing list. Then I scratched my (mostly bold) head and figured that some kind of library was actually needed. This is a preview of the icons set:
The idea would be to use a first set of icons as a basis (empty racks and enclosures) and draw the needed icons with the help of a second set of hardware components (disks, grids, buttons, display screens, leds, …). Let’s see how this idea goes …

Great work, as always!
Very nice…
The development (SVN) version of Open Audit now incorporates a slightly basic Network Diagram drawing capability, and these icons will certainly help. Excellent work.
Now how do I get PHP to meld all of the SVG bits together…. 😉
WOW! Just all I need to create network Diagrams! Tanks a lot !
I use Open Audit and these icons are great!
Congratulations!
